Overview
Toolmaker Engineer/Fitter – Injection Moulding Department Global Manufacturer Ebbw Vale £27-28,000overtime Toolmaker who will be following a days pattern. Role Purpose: Tooling Engineer Responsible for Reactive, preventative & routine maintenance of all Injection Moulding tooling to enable efficient machine uptime to allow production targets to be achieved in a safe and efficient manner. Job Elements: Toolmaker · Carry out all routine, reactive, preventative maintenance activities in a safe and efficient manner in line with tooling schedules. · Provide appropriate engineering support when required. · Participate in design reviews for all new injection moulding tooling including MOD’s. · Prioritize and carry out repair work as per production requirements. · Carry out such maintenance and/or repair as instructed by Department Head/Manager. · Carry out all planned maintenance checks as per requirement. · Implement log books for all tooling to register all running conditions, issues, mods and running shots. · Write up reports live on equipment conditions with recommendations on work carried out and planned additional required works. · Order spares through correct system and liaise with the department Leaders as required. · Basic fabrication/small welding skills. · Attend any training as required to maintain competency/qualifications. · Has the authority to stop a process immediately if continuation could result in Health, Safety, Environmental or Quality standards being compromised. The Ideal Candidate will be:Toolmaker · A Qualified, time served tooling engineer/fitter. · IOSHH qualified or an equivalent.
