Overview

This is an exciting role which will see you be part of a new team, establishing and opening a new children's home for a U.K. wide children's social care provider. You will be joining an extremely experienced and supportive Registered Manager who will work with you to develop your skills in leadership and responsibility. Working effectively as a shift leader, you will provide therapeutic care, with the support of the organisation’s therapists, clinical psychologists, health and education professionals, to help the children overcome their difficult pasts and realise their full potential as young adults. Duties and responsibilities: Working with children and young people with emotional, behavioural difficulties to support their physical and emotional needs, promoting independence and helping them regain their confidence. Key working Running shifts Organising rotas Write and review individual care plans according to each child's needs. As a Senior Residential Support Worker you will work shifts for which the hourly rate starts at £10.56 per hour and also do sleep ins which are paid at £62.00 each. Candidate requirements: A minimum of two years, recent experience of working in a children’s home. A full driving licence An NVQ3 Caring for Children and Young People or QCF Diploma level 3 Residential Childcare
