Overview
A rapidly expanding Chartered Accountancy Practice are seeking a Junior Accountant to join their office in Sheffield. This is a modern and progressive firm that prides itself on its excellent client relations and friendly approach. As a Junior Accountant, you will get exposure to all the core areas of accountancy practice, including preparing accounts for limited companies, bookkeeping, payroll, tax and VAT. You will be working closely with other team members and more senior accountants, supporting them in their work both in the office and at client sites. You will ideally have previous experience in accountancy practice, and be familiar with some elements of payroll, VAT returns or accounts preparation work. If you have prepared full payrolls or had any exposure to tax that will be an advantage, but as long as you have a good grounding in an accountancy practice, the more detailed elements of the job can be trained. My client is looking for someone organised and professional with good numeracy and communication skills who is looking to establish themselves in a career in accounts, and study support for a relevant qualification such as the AAT will be provided alongside excellent internal training.
