Overview
Our client, major City and international firm, has an exciting opportunity for a corporate lawyer, with at least 2PQE, to join its highly regarded Corporate group. The Corporate group advises on a broad range of high-profile UK and cross-border M&A (both private and public), capital markets, private equity and general advisory work. This is a generalist corporate role, but the successful candidate will need to have solid private M&A experience, which remains the bread and butter of the group's Corporate practice. Some experience in capital markets work would be very beneficial. Apart from being good technical lawyers, the partners are looking for bright, ambitious corporate associates who have strong communication skills and commercial awareness, and who are team players. This is an ideal environment for a corporate lawyer coming from one of the largest City firms who wishes to have a broader range of work and a greater client facing role, whilst working in a more balanced and flexible environment. The role would also suit a corporate lawyer who has trained and worked post qualification in one of the leading corporate / M&A groups outside London.
