Overview
We are currently working with a household name who are new to the Leeds tech market. They're building a brand new tech hub and as a result are looking to hire a Lead Software Engineer. They will be building a brand new, cloud first, platform which will replace a third-party piece of technology which is fundamental to how the company runs. You will get to work with the latest serverless technologies including Node.js, Terraform, Lambda and AWS. As the Lead Engineer you will significantly contribute to Back End, CI/CD, DevOps etc. An appreciation of Front End JavaScript technologies is advantageous. As the Lead Engineer you will be responsible for leading a talented team of Engineers from a technical perspective whilst maintaining fully hands on. They have a great environment and emphasis on training and progression of staff. They're egoless and value everyone's input. The Technical Lead directly quoted if someone comes in with an idea and they can prove the value, we'll do it. This is a rare opportunity as you will be working with zero technical debt, you will be building a best in class system from scratch which is scalable and highly available. Key experience required: Node.js ideally but will consider (Java, Python, Go) TDD CI/CD AWS Agile Experience with a Front End framework such as React or Angular would be advantageous.
