Overview

The Company Enterprise business is seeking to recruit an Technical Architectural Leader to strengthen its infrastructure capability. The Role In this brand-new role, providing leadership across the IT infrastructure team, you will undertake technical assurance and architectural guidance for the IT estate which includes on-premise, cloud and SaaS services as well as liaising with third party suppliers. Working closely with the Head of Service Operations and across the IT team, you will ensure that the IT estate supports the business service level requirements and the Head of Cyber Security to ensure that the IT systems confirms to legal and regulatory obligations. Specifically you will: Provide technical consultancy on both Cloud, SaaS and on-premise technologies Ensure any technology solution adheres to business design principles including design for failure. Provide assurance on proposed implementation, changes to both BAU and project landscape. Create and maintain technical documentation for the IT estate Support and ensure that ITIL best practices are applied across the existing BAU estate and to new solutions. Ensure that the IT estate conforms to security best practices of least privilege and encryption both at rest and in transit. Continually review changes and designs to ensure continual adherence to our design standards and security best practices. Work with Internal and External audit to support effective audits and to close audit actions as they arise The Requirements As an experienced leader, you will possess strong people management skills and have the following: Strong knowledge and implementation experience of multiple technologies including networking, infrastructure and applications both on-premise, public cloud (eg. AWS or Azure) and SaaS Good communication and people skills to lead a team with variety of skillsets. Be able to work effectively with other IT teams and project services Familiarity of operating under an ITIL framework, across all disciplines Focus on RTO/RPO and ITDR functions supporting restoration of services and operating under BCM Practical experience in problem solving and performing root cause analysis on complex services Ability to provide thought leadership for the IT design authority Strong relationship building skills with operational stakeholders and heads of department Awareness and understanding of operating an IT estate covered by critical national infrastructure principles Familiarity with DevOps and ERP systems will be beneficial.
