Overview

Our client is a market-leading solutions provider with an excellent reputation worldwide. A role has opened for an experienced New Product Introduction Leader join their talented team in Exeter. The NPI Leader will be tasked with driving production through a progressive continuous improvement strategy. The position will involve significant New Product Introduction strategy, working out the most cost-effective methods of taking new products to Production. Responsibilities: · Managing implementation of products from conception through to development in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment. · Monitor and improve performance using KPIs and other performance measures, to achieve set targets and goals. · Supporting and taking action when necessary, if departmental or individual performance is below the required standard. · Ensure all products achieve the required quality standards, within budget and incorporating a right first-time approach. · Monitor performance and progress, along with risk mitigation plans and communicate in core team meetings. · To promote an Environmentally protective and Health & Safety conscious work environment. · To actively promote 5S and workplace organisation and Lean activities. Requirements: · Knowledge of introducing new products to an established supply chain at the right cost and right first time. · Knowledge of Project Management. · Able to effectively communicate and work within a team environment, across the business, with external suppliers and third party manufacturers. · E xperience of NPI and testing methodology, meeting required standards of quality and process capability. · Understanding of the manufacturing process for electronic products. · Understanding of design for test and design for manufacture. · Understanding of Firmware/Software within Product Designs. · Knowledge of Compliance Standards.
