About us Our client is a leading, diversified specialty Insurance & Reinsurance company, who offer carefully tailored solutions and outcomes for their clients and business partners. The role To adjust claims within a designated individual authority limit and assist in the technical management and control of the P&C claims portfolio to provide a prompt and efficient service to the market and to protect the Company's financial interests by ensuring the validity of the claim payments and adequate reserving. Key accountabilities Adjust, and authorise claims settlements and fees within an individual authority limit. Refer claims upwards if above designated individual authority limit. Handle and negotiate standard cases within service targets, both internally and externally driven. Liaise and negotiate with clients, brokers, loss adjusters and lawyers in the adjustment and settlement of claims, including overseas travel where there is a business need /requirement. Document and administer claims in accordance with internal protocols and Lloyds procedures, maintain records and provide management information Actively manage the claims lifecycle utilising automated in house systems, and update key customers i.e. Underwriters, Legal, Brokers, intermediaries and clients with claims information. Work closely with external service providers to provide direction and strategy. Proactively liaise with Claims Operations to provide analytical data and claims experience for the team, and reporting to brokers and clients Assist customers in making claims and where applicable, resolving customer service issues, ensuring their prompt and timely resolution and quality of the service provided by the team, is within specified levels. Communicate with the Underwriters on general claim matters to assist with policy provisions, reserving, claims experience and client liaison. Assist with providing data and account management analysis to the team, actuaries and customers (internally and externally). Work as directed by claims management to instruct and over see the activities of TPA's and Cover-holders. Support Senior Adjusters and Underwriters in all claims matters as required. Skills & experience Professional Insurance qualifications desirable. Minimum of 5 years related experience. Specific technical knowledge of Commercial Property claims. Liability claim knowledge desirable Good Interpersonal, presentation, organisational, numerical and verbal reasoning, analytical, and written and verbal communication skills. Understanding of class specific claims knowledge. Good IT skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar packages, Database software. Proficient on ECF2 would be advantageous
