Transport Planner
Overview
My client is an award-winning consultancy founded 60 years ago who pride themselves on Quality, innovation and excellence in design. They work across a range of sectors including residential, employment, education, commercial, energy as well as master planning. Due to an extended period of growth they are looking to add a Transport Planner to their Office in Nottingham which is a short walk from the Station. Integrated into a multi-disciplinary design team you will help to identify and design the most appropriate transport solutions and strategies on a range of schemes, this opportunity would suit someone who is Chartered or nearing chartered status and has a solid background in development planning working on the preparation of Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, site access feasibility assessments and Travel Plans as part of the planning process utilising Arcady, Picady, Linsig and TRICS. You will be given autonomy and opportunity to research and develop new areas of the Transport Planning business and will be expected to develop relationships with existing and new clients Skills and Abilities Experience in a similar role is desirable. Understanding of highway design principles. Strong report writing skills. Excellent written and verbal communicator. Excellent numeracy, communication, time management and organisational skills. Personal Qualities Confident and self-motivated. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, collaborators and colleagues. Ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team.
