Transport Co-Ordinator Welshpool £23,000 - £25,000 Monday – Friday, 08:00 – 17:00 I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Transport Controller to join a family run business who specialise within the waste management and recycling sector. They are seeking a Transport Controller to support the current transport operation in the management of fleet, operational compliance and route planning. The candidate; Recycling or waste management logistics experience (desirable) Excellent knowledge of driver time regulations Previous experience within a operational, planning or transport supervisory role A good understanding of fleet compliance across Rigids and Artics Experience using Transport Management System Strong customer service skills Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines Competent decision making Good geographical knowledge of the Merseyside and North West areas CPC (National) qualified (desirable) Duties and Responsibilities; Supervising and managing driver workloads Monitoring driver performance Review driver routes and plan to maximise efficiency Provide position and constructive feedback to drivers Keep all customers informed of all failed services or significant delays Provide the communication link between customers and drivers Ensure drivers have the correct paperwork and equipment to carry out their role Liaise with drivers and manage WTD / DTD Conducting driver briefs & de-briefs Supervising and managing driver workloads Report any incidents / near misses as soon as they occur and ensure the relevant paperwork is completed. Ensuring your routes are numbered correctly and all jobs are sequenced. Managing your driver’s daily activities in line with the Working Time Directive and Driving hours. Ensuring every customer receives excellent customer service. Investigating failed services and looking into ways to resolve site issues. Management and completion of the Transport email address.
