Multi-Skilled Trades Team Leader / Construction Site Supervisor who has experience as a multi-skilled trade professional, particularly within painting and decorating along with other building / joinery / maintenance work is required by a reputable, well-established Building and Construction Company. SALARY: £32,000 - £34,000 per annum (Depending on Experience and Qualifications) Benefits (28 Days Annual Leave, including Bank Holidays, Attractive Incentive Scheme with a Leading Perks Provider, Annual Tool Allowance, Access to a Company Van, Uniform and Works PDA) LOCATION: Field based predominately covering building projects across Oxford, Gloucester and surrounding areas JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent Contract WORKING HOURS: 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday (Flexibility will be required to meet business and customer needs, including occasional evening / weekend work.) JOB OVERVIEW Due to continued expansion we have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Trades Team Leader / Construction Site Supervisor who has experience as a multi-skilled trade professional, particularly within painting and decorating along with other building / joinery / maintenance work. As the Multi-Skilled Trades Team Leader / Construction Site Supervisor, you will join the growing Customer Care Division, which supports the largest house builders across the UK. Your work will be diverse covering a range of residential projects from conversions to resolving minor defect issues. Working as the Multi-Skilled Trades Team Leader / Construction Site Supervisor you’ll take responsibility for a range of allocated daily tasks, ensuring work is completed on time and to the highest possible standards, whilst operating in a professional and friendly manner to deliver high standards of customer service on behalf of the house builders. Although you’ll be working autonomously, support from other trades in the business will be available where essential to complete jobs to a high standard. DUTIES Your duties and responsibilities as the Multi-Skilled Trades Team Leader / Construction Site Supervisor: • Completing a wide variety of jobs including high quality joinery, tiling, patch plastering, basic plumbing, painting basic decoration works etc. • Gathering work schedules and updating job progress on the in-house system using a handheld PDA device, ensuring up-to-date each day • Ensuring materials and machinery for jobs are organised with head office colleagues via the PDA • Efficiently communicating updates on jobs to customers • Checking day-to-day calendars to ensure you have a good understanding of the works each day • Reporting any concerns, you may have to the Contracts Managers • Communicating on a day-to-day basis with the Contract Managers regarding jobs and any updates • Receiving calls and delegating calls from technicians within your trade • Attending supervisor meetings on a bi-weekly basis • Compiling information for the meeting to discuss your concern or any improvements you feel need to be raised • Arranging meetings with your trade teams as and when you feel necessary to improve the service and any concerns • Create a good morale within the trade team by requesting team building exercises • Having a good understanding of the commercial aspects of the jobs to ensure you understand cost involved day-to-day and control of costs CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS • Proven experience as a multi-skilled trade professional, particularly within painting / decorating along with other building / joinery / maintenance work • Proven track record in construction supervision • Possess own hand tools (annual tool allowance is provided) • Proactive and flexible approach towards tasks using a variety of trade skills • Professional and diplomatic, with superb communication and customer facing skills • Basic IT skills in order to effectively update in-house system / handheld PDA device • Full Driving Licence • A valid CSCS Card • SSSTS / SMSTS would be highly advantageous Due to the nature of the work undertaken by the business, successful applicants will be subject to a satisfactory DBS Check.
