Overview
Associate ACS are now recruiting a Healthcare - Commercial Associate/Senior Associate to work within a successful law firm in London. We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative Associate or Senior Associate who wants to work collaboratively to contribute to the further development and growth of the team in London and the wider team. What’s in it for you? 25 days annual leave Birthday privilege day Christmas shutdown Holiday buy and sell and carryover scheme Health cash plan Maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave, special leave Life assurance Annual travel season ticket loan Dress for your day Charity volunteering days Smart working Private medical insurance Permanent health insurance Training opportunities Key responsibilities Advising clients on interpreting regulatory and governance frameworks, including those applicable to the fast-moving IVF, medical cannabis, medical device and genomics sectors; Advising clients on public and administrative law in relation to the laws governing the NHS, including advising on major policy initiatives such as legislative reform, the development of hospital groups and the "integration agenda"; Advising on commercial and contracting matters insofar as they relate to the regulatory and public law advice described above, including in the context of collaborations, joint ventures and transactions; Representing national health and social care bodies in regulatory proceedings; Advising on data protection law, in particular the strict requirements surrounding the use of patient data in the healthcare sector; Supporting the team’s marketing and business development strategy in the relevant sectors, including by developing materials and promoting the team by attending and presenting at events, as well as presenting as the face of the firm to clients and intermediaries; What we are looking for Law degree (or equivalent) Solid experience in commercial and/or regulatory matters ideally within the health and/or life sciences sectors but other relevant experience will be considered; Ability to work as part of a team; Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure Willingness to play a proactive part in business development activity Positive attitude and interest in exploring and learning about new and unfamiliar legal areas; Ability to work flexibly and proactively; Excellent communication/client service skills; Excellent attention to detail; Excellent organisational skills.
