Overview
An exciting opportunity for a Property & Casualty Underwriter to join the successful Broker Partner Underwriting team in Bristol. You will play an active role in developing the Broker Partner account in terms of growth and profitability through negotiating and securing profitable new business. Job Description Underwriting professionally in accordance with Allianz Insurance standards and providing excellent service to customers in a fast-paced environment Underwriting new business cases, including analysis and compilation of data for referral Forming and developing broker and branch relationships to drive growth; a key part of this is broker visibility by way of visits and supporting panel aligned business developers Managing and developing accounts profitably, including helping support new deals and arrangements Input and maintenance of Salesforce data Developing and maintaining a full prospect pipeline and engaging fully in the cross sell culture Ensuring close collaboration with your colleagues in other departments will be essential to support our ambitious growth plans Supporting a strong compliance ethic to meet all FCA compliance requirements Achieving agreed financial performance targets on business underwritten. Skills & Experience: Good level of experience in underwriting commercial risks Strong analytical capability and technical competence Practical knowledge of MS Office and MS outlook Progression towards ACII qualification Knowledge of the UK General Insurance market is essential Strong ability to build, develop and maintain broker relationships Analytical with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
