Overview

My client in Colnbrook have a full time permanent vacancy. They are requiring a Cost Accountant who will be a valued member of their team, supporting the development of their costing, inventory and planning systems As the Cost Accountant your main responsibilities are: Responsible for timely and accurate development, processing and reporting of internal costing data. Liaison with finance, productions and operations to analyse product cost for new and existing products. Analysis of product cost changes and associated variance analysis. Highlighting issues that impact product costs. Periodic participation in finished goods, stores and third party stock take. The timely and accurate production of stock information (weekly/period) Investigate and reconcile physical stock counts compared with system counts. Update stock system prices/scales working with commercial/production departments. Assistance with preparation of periodic management accounts. Prepare and distribute nominal ledger pack, including fixed assets additions/capital monitoring. Develop and improve costing, inventory and planning systems Develop and improve standard costings Creating management reports to help monitor operating profitability Prepare cost of sales analysis for budget and forecast reviews Weekly KPI reporting and commentary Day to day product costings Data analysis for cost and manufacturing within the business Developing the product costing model Working closely with supply chain Purchasing to drive efficiencies Assist with the cost budget, analysing data, following up on queries and making cost comparisons Produce final product costs for selected affiliates within the group of companies Ensure all Master Data relevant to product costing is accurate, highlighting variances and reporting on a monthly basis Ad hoc duties within the finance team If you are ACA/ACCA/CIMA Part Qualified Experience within manufacturing is desirable.
