Transport Manager Claudy, Co. Londonderry (with occasional UK travel) The Company Our client is a family-run, leading provider of transportation solutions, specialising in cost-effective recycling transport across the UK and Ireland since 2009. Due to continued expansion, they are now looking for a Transport Manager to join their team at their Claudy Head Office. The Role As a Transport Manager, you will plan and co-ordinate our client’s fleet of walking floor trucks and their drivers throughout Northern Ireland and the UK. You will use our client’s online fleet management system to ensure services are running smoothly and are compliant. Your role will involve: - Ensuring compliance with road traffic and working time laws - Responding to internal and customer requests and enquiries - Planning and ensuring availability for planned servicing and maintenance - Developing good working relationships at all levels - Working efficiently to tight deadlines - Liaising with directors on a daily basis About You To be considered as a Transport Manager, you will need: - At least two years’ experience in a busy transport office environment with direct customer contact - At a minimum, two years’ experience using telematics systems and Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel and Power Point - Strong communication skills - A full, valid driving licence Ideally, you will have experience of bulk and/or walking floor operations, but this is not essential. A Class 1 HGV licence would be beneficial, as would a CPC accreditation.
