Overview
An opportunity has arisen for the position of full time Senior Nurse Co-ordinator within Adult Mental Health Services on Ebor Ward at Foss Park in York. The post holder will work as part of the multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality, patient focused care in collaboration with the patients and there families. The role is a full time night post which will be based at Foss Park Hospital. The main focus of the role is to provide support to the four wards at Foss Park Hospital as well as the Oakrise learning disability unit and The Orchards rehabilitation unit. This is an exciting and challenging role and will afford the opportunity to work as part of a supportive team that is focused on delivering high standards of care through evidenced based practice. As a Band 6 Nurse you will also support and supervise staff within the mulit-disciplinary team. You will be expected to deliver high quality supervision, appraisals, return to work paperwork for staff returning from sickness as well audits to ensure that patient care is being delivered to a high standard. You will also support and supervise staff within the multi-disciplinary team. Experience of working in a multidisciplinary mental health setting is required for this post. We are looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic and compassionate about improving the lives of those with dementia. The post holder will be required to work rotational days night shifts. The post holder will need to be flexible, adaptable and with the ability to work on their own initiative and be able to communicate with all agencies relevant to patient care.
