Lead NPD Technologist Job ref: 62500 | £32,000 - £35,000 | North West The company You will be working for a leading manufacturer which is part of a large national group. Products are manufactured to the highest quality and are supplied into national retailers under both own brand and private label. The job As a Lead Technologist you will manage the development of new and existing products from concept to launch in a hands-on role, working closely with business development controllers, marketing and commercial teams, suppliers and customers . Reporting to the NPD Manager, you’ll develop commercially viable new products via specific retailer / discounter briefs managing projects in line with the critical path, ensuring full and timely communication and collaboration with all areas of the business and the customer. Your experience You will be a motivated individual with a creative flair and passion for NPD . You will be a team player with superb communication skills, which will enable you to liaise closely with customers and internal teams. You will show energy and enthusiasm for the products which you work with and you will thrive under pressure. Ideally, you’ll possess 3-5 years’ experience within a food manufacturing business, preferably a bakery or equivalent knowledge / experience. A food science related qualification would also be ideal.
