Overview
A growing start-up consultancy who specialise in electronic/ embedded software products are looking to hire an Embedded Software Engineer to its team. Since the company started 3 years ago it has secured a large number of long term clients which has meant the business is now looking to add further permanent Engineers to it's R&D team in order to keep up with project work demand. There is currently a mix of permanent & contract Engineers on the team. The business is developing products for a wide number of industry sectors. These include: IoT, Medical, Wearable, Smart Energy and other Commercial related sectors. It is an exciting time to join the business as they have now entered a stable position with a secure client base, but are also seeing a steady flow of new business enquiries from current customers as well as new clients. The owner of the business has an excellent reputation in the embedded software market. This gives you the chance to work with one of the best in the industry, whilst also working with other talented and friendly engineers. For this role you should be an embedded software engineer who is confident programming in Embedded C on RTOS or Bare Metal. Experience working on low powered devices, products that have memory constraints, or products that communicate via low power wireless protocols (e.g. BLE, Bluetooth, Zigbee) would be desirable (but is not essential). You should be a Software Engineer who will enjoy working within a small multi-disciplined project team on a wide variety of fast product developments (from concept to manufacture), where you will have chance to get involved in various tasks on the project. SKILLS REQUIRED: Embedded C RTOS or Bare Metal experience Microcontroller / Microprocessor experience Full product lifecycle experience (working from concept to manufacture) Comfortable working on fast paced commercial sector projects You should be someone who enjoys working part of small project teams DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE: C++ Linux Experience working on low power / memory constrained devices OTHER INFORMATION: Excellent travel connections (accesible via public transport or car).
