Business Analyst; Trading, Risk and Operations Upto £45,000 Bens Bonus We are representing an established and successful supplier of fuels and lubricants who are currently undergoing an integration of an ERP and CTRM solution. Being hired on a permanent basis, the Business Analyst will work on the last set of trades which need to be lift and shift away from the legacy systems into the new (or, in technical architecture diagram. In terms of user community, the new Business Analyst will be dealing with users which are completely new to the solution. It is therefore essential to the successful candidate to have business experience using CTRM systems such as TPT. Yet on their mission to educate new users, the new Business Analyst must have some knowledge of a usual IT infrastructure and be familiar with all phases of development life cycle: requirements gathering, design, development, testing, UAT, CAB process, release and hypercare, plus have an ability to understand commercial requirements and entire business flow. Responsibilities: Working closely with the UK Inland team both in London and Manchester and the wider TPT implementation team, the new Business Analyst will assist users to implement changes to keep the delicate balance between data accuracy and user experience. The Business Analyst will gather new requirements, including any transitional requirements which can impact price calculation, compliance performance, new deals and possible improvements, and translate them to the technology team. The Business Analyst will also provide training to Trade Analysts in the commercial team for system updates and changes and to advise when future changes within the CTRM may impact processes and trade capture within commercial. Assisting the Business (mainly Commercial UK, Retail, Marine and Ireland) in the formulation and promotion of the business vision, as appropriate. Modelling the organisation’s current and future state in the area of the solution and identifying opportunities, risks and impacts. Working with the Business and the Solution Development Team to formulate and communicate solution options. Supporting and facilitating unambiguous and timely communication between business and technical participants in the project. Ensuring the requirements defined are of good quality and are analysed and managed appropriately. Managing development, distribution and baseline approval of all communication related to business requirements and their interpretation, with particular focus on ensuring the prioritised requirements list is kept up to date, as the detail expands and evolves. Ensuring that the business and organisational implications of day-to-day evolution of the solution are properly modelled and thought through. Ensuring the impact of business decisions is reviewed in the context of the project. Ensuring the business and technical components of the solution collectively provide a cohesive whole for the business. Ensuring the non-functional requirements are achievable and subsequently met. Taking responsibility for tracking business requirements through to business acceptance. Liaising with the Business in organising support for the solution through implementation into live. Assisting the Commercial team (including Marine and Ireland) in the formulation and promotion of their vision. Some travel will be required. Requirements: Up to 2 years of experience within the physical and paper oil trading environment. CTRM implementation experience. Business and process knowledge of trading, risk management instruments and physical oil operations. Experience of using a structured approach to incident and change management of critical production systems. Experience of writing business requirements, functional specifications and preparing test strategies and test plans. Proven capability in project management (Prince 2, ITIL and Agile qualifications), business analysis, issue management and relationship management with both the business and vendors. Experience of working in a team that delivers high availability service. Excellent communication and team working skills. Ability and willingness to learn quickly. Proactive.
