A Junior Sous Chef role is available at a pub located in the Sedbergh region of Cumbria Role: A privately owned country inn that offers good quality, fresh food is recruiting for a Junior Sous Chef to join the kitchen team.In this Junior Sous Chef position you will be working with fresh, local produce including whole carcasses and using lots of smoking and curing methods to create high quality dishes for the inns customers.The property has an 80 cover restaurant where the Head Chef is pushing the standards forward but isn’t seeking accolades.As Junior Sous Chef you will be expected to be capable of working across the sections in the kitchen whilst also assisting with the supervision and direction of the junior chefs and covering for the Sous Chef in their absence. Requirements: A Senior Chef de Partie or Junior Sous Chef who has a stable CV with experience working in busy, fresh food kitchens is required to take on this role.An enthusiastic chef who is eager to work in a property that continues to push the standards forward and can develop your knowledge of butchery, smoking and curing would be ideal.
