Scrum Master / London Market / Insurance / Agile Transformation / City A fast growing and forward thinking London Market insurer has a requirement for a Scrum Master to join one of the product teams within their agile transformation programme. Scrum Master Job Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring Scrum is understood and the team adheres to Scrum theory, practice, and guidelines. Facilitates and supports all scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective. Coaches the Scrum team in self-organization and high performance Support the product owner in developing and refining the product vision, roadmap and backlog, as well as facilitating prioritisation events with key stakeholders Guides and coaches the Scrum Team on how to use Agile practices and principles to deliver high quality products and services to our customers. Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters and the Scrum of Scrums Master to increase the effectiveness of the delivery of value to the organization. Works with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to support the agile transformation programme within and beyond the current scrum of scrum. Scrum Master Experience / Qualifications / Skills: Minimum 3 years' experience as a Scrum Master in a technology environment (preferably in financial services) Holds recognised scrum mastery certification (e.g. CSM, A-CSM, CSP-SM, PSM, etc) Ability to demonstrate their own agile development journey Role models Agile values and principles Outstanding communication and facilitation skills Adept at refinement, story splitting, estimation, velocity, retrospection, and other Scrum techniques Practical knowledge and experience in applying other agile frameworks (e.g. Kanban) Experience in setting up and using agile tools, such as Jira and confluence desirable but not essential Understanding of agile engineering practices (e.g. Pair programming, TDD, etc) desirable but not essential
