Are you a Housing Lawyer looking for a new opportunity within a local authority? Sellick Partnership are assisting a popular South London Borough Council to find a Housing Lawyer to join their team. This opportunity is a 3-6 month locum contract, expected to continue onto a rolling contract. Given the current climate, if required, the Housing Lawyer will be able to work remotely up to 4 days a week, with just 1 day in the office. The successful Housing Lawyer will be handing a varied caseload, encompassing matters such as: Disrepair cases Possession proceedings Housing debt recovery ASB Homelessness The Housing Lawyer will also provide advice and support to the council, its' members, and the client department. Our client has advised that they´re looking for someone who has experience of conducting advocacy, as the role will frequently involve the conduct of advocacy in the County Court. They have further advised that local authority experience is a bonus but not a must, as they will consider those from other backgrounds who have transferable skills. The offices are located right by public transport links and parking places, while there are also a range of shops, cafes and restaurants conveniently located.
