Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be working with a National Planning and Development Consultancy on the hire of a Senior Planner for their Newcastle Office. Our client is recognised as one of the 'Best Places to Work in Property' by Property Week magazine and is looking for a bright, creative and committed person who can deliver high quality advice to their clients and help them grow the Newcastle Office. The company works within all sectors of the development industry (public and private) to assist them in formulating and implementing development schemes. You would be involved in a variety of projects to support the planning and development consultancy work, and to advise clients independently on the promotion of development schemes through Local Plans and planning applications. Our client will provide a great environment for you to develop your career working on a wide range of projects and supported by a learning and development programme. If you have good planning expertise and a desire to succeed we can help you realise your ambitions Qualifications: Candidates will have a first or second-degree qualification in planning or a related subject and have achieved MRTPI status. Candidates should demonstrate good analytical, presentation, and writing skills, together with a clear commitment to working in the planning and property development field. The role will require working on a number of projects, so a proven ability to manage your own time, workload and problem solve is critical. You will also be able to demonstrate the skills needed to market, win new work and innovate as these are important elements of this role.
