Overview
In this thier 15th year of operation, our client is seeking an individual who has previous experience in developing and delivering strategies that support a business that has restructured and evolved into a larger organization. This individual will have a proven track record of managing and leading teams through challenging transitions where working capital and Cashflow constraints were prevalent. You will be lead a dynamic and energetic Finance Team within a fast-growing award-winning company dedicated to breathing new life into mobile technology. We recover mobile accessories, devices and IOT type product from our clients which are processed for reuse or recycling. This Finance Director is responsible for financial reporting and for advising the CEO and the Board of the £20MGSG business group. The Finance Director will lead a team of competent professionals and will be a major influencer on the future direction of the business. The Finance Director will be responsible for: Strategy Setting - responsible for supporting the Senior Executives in setting the business strategy of the company. Financial Management & Control - ensure that the finance function is managed with probity and audits are well prepared for and successful and the integrity of the business is preserved Reporting - responsible for ensuring that all monthly and annual financial reports are completed on time and correctly reported Financial Planning - ensuring that the business deals properly with the external financial environment by reporting profits correctly and complying with regulation to minimize costs to the business Leadership - a key member of the leadership team and as such has responsibility to offer outstanding leadership to the whole business as well as the direct team Team Management - responsible for the recruitment, training and management of staff to be an asset to the finance department and wider business The job requires an individual with strong interpersonal skills, an ability to eloquently convey complex ideas, and a good instinct for business, plus ACA, CIMA or ACCA Chartered accountant qualification with wide experience of strategic financial analysis and planning. Several years of managerial experience of heading up a financial function in both small and large organisation within a telecommunication distribution section and industry sector Advanced analytic and problem-solving skills, which require a practical numbers-oriented mind. An effective team player which the ability to work within a busy environment and across multiple business functions. An organised and methodical approach to getting the job done. An interested in mobile technology, gadgets, IOT and environment An understanding of the commercial environment within which the business operates Desirable Experience of working with a mobile operator/service provider or technology recycling, in a financial environment Salary - Circa 80K (Commensurate to level of experience and fit) Holiday entitlement 20 days plus 8 bank holidays Annual Business closure during Christmas? The successful candidate will be required to work six Saturdays per year to Offset Christmas closure days
