IT Technician West Bromwich Permanent £20,500 to £24,000 Our client is a non-for-profit organisation who offers high quality, effective IT services for schools, academies and nurseries. Our client concentrates on improving the potential of the chosen technology as well as understanding how to utilise the data. For this role you will need to have a 'can do' attitude as this is something that the company prides itself on. They are now looking for an IT Technician to be responsible for the delivery of the technical support for any relevant systems. The technical support will be provided on site and remotely, this will include maintenance, installation and proactive monitoring of client's network. To assist with the efficient delivery of technical support for all relevant systems. To support the use of new ICT technologies associated hardware, software, peripherals and services. To undertake the repair, upgrade and maintenance of computers, servers and peripherals as part of the technical support service offered to clients. To assist with the installation and support of associated internet services delivered to clients. Undertake system diagnostics to identify and resolve technical incidents. To liaise with other staff within the unit, partners and external agencies to ensure the provision of a high-quality service. As both an individual and member of the team, strive towards the delivery of a service of the highest possible quality. To demonstrate a clear and sustained commitment to customer care. To support ICT in remote locations. Responding to incidents within agreed time limits. Keep open communication path with clients throughout resolution of incidents. Responsible for own time management under supervision from their line manager. Manage own workload with consideration to personal development time. Effective communication to clients is required to both technical and non-technical members of staff. Create procedural and technical documentation. Rapidly establish a good working relationship with all customers. To participate in the operation of the clients Appraisal Scheme. Such other duties as may be appropriate to achieve the objectives of the post to assist in the fulfilment of its objectives commensurate with the post holder's salary grade, abilities and aptitudes Hours : 37 Hours Requirements: Driving Licence (travel throughout the midlands) 1 year experience of installation, configuration and maintenance for window based operating systems DBS (not essential)
