Overview

We are currently working with a leading engineering consultancy whom are looking to recruit for a Senior Rail Civil Design Engineer being based in either York or Manchester who have worked on major projects within the Rail industry such as the East Coast Mainline and Transpennine Route Upgrade. As the Senior Rail Civil Engineer will report to the Civil Team leader in which you will have the opportunity to lead and direct teams of civil engineers, graduates and technicians involved in producing civil engineering designs and studies for a range of railway infrastructure projects.Your task is to lead Civils teams to deliver projects, ensure commitments are met, monitoring team performance against programme and budget, in which you will also lead key design projects, ensuring client SLAs are achieved and within budget which includes monitoring project and team performance against contracts and project quality and making adjustments if required. Ideally the said consultancy is looking for a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, however if you have equivalent experience or evidence for working toward Chartered status then you will also be considered. As mentioned, there is potential to be based in either Manchester or York. Job Requirements Ideally Chartered Civil Engineer or equivalent experience.Ideally experience acting in the role of Client's Responsible Engineer.A thorough understanding of Network Rail standards and processes.Minimum 6 years of Railway Civils experience gained on projects such as stations, depots or lineside Civils etcHas designed and qualified civil engineering deliverables.Experience in the use of Eurocodes If this position is of interest, then dont hesitate to contact Sebastian at Critical Project Resourcing
