THE FIRM A top tier law firm with offices in several key locations. THE ROLE For a senior associate or partner to join the Corporate team which handles all aspects of corporate law. Clients range from owner managed business, to founders and entrepreneurial businesses to companies listed in the UK and overseas. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious lawyer to play a key part in the continuing growth of this practice and to lead in their area of speciality. ABOUT YOU You should have at least 5pqe as a corporate lawyer, some of which should involve working in a financial services group within a City-based London law firm. Your experience should ideally comprise: the scope of UK and EU financial services regulation affecting financial markets in the UK, including MiFID II/MiFIR, EMIR and AIFMD; an understanding of the UK financial services regime, particularly in respect of regulated investment activities and financial promotions; the financial regulatory impact on corporate transactions involving the acquisition and sale of a fund or other form of financial institution; the scope of UK and EU financial services regulation affecting international payments businesses as well as innovative growth companies in that sector, including PSD and PSD II.
