Overview

Senior Accountant- Birmingham We are representing a market leading firm of chartered accountants in Birmingham city centre, who are looking to add to their rapidly expanding accounts department. They are looking to hire a qualified Senior Accountant to join them. The company have an excellent reputation in the area and have been growing year-on-year through organic growth. As well as this, there will be opportunities to progress to Manager level and potentially beyond if you have the desire to do so. The role will involve managing your own portfolio of clients, and supervising a couple of junior members of staff. This will include some review work of the bookkeeping produced by the juniors. You will also be managing the client relationships closely and perhaps helping to grow the portfolio. Senior Accountant Responsibilities: Statutory and management accounts preparation Managing juniors and ensuring their development Reviewing work completed by juniors Ability to complete full set of accounts to completion Discussing and resolving accounts queries with clients Requirements: ACA/ACCA qualified (you will be considered if you are QBE) 4 years practice experience Excellent communication skills Strong technical knowledge Ability to manage juniors For more information on this Senior Accountant role, please either apply directly or contact James Gosling at AJ Chambers.
