Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen at a government organisation for an established, senior Finance Business Partner to play a key role in the financial management of a national programme. Reporting to the Financial Controller for Property, this key role will provide both assurance and challenge to the Property Area Delivery Managers, and their team, in relation to the financial elements of their project plan, value for money and corporate governance. You will contribute continuously to the strategic development of the programme by defining and implementing effective accounting policies, financial systems, controls, processes and reports, and engaging with stakeholders, both internal and external, to promote financial awareness, anticipate and address the evolving needs of the business and discharge its financial reporting responsibilities now and in the future. You should be a qualified accountant with post qualification experience in financial leadership roles and which include developing and leading a team through change in a complex environment. The ability to interpret and apply appropriate IFRS accounting treatment will be just as important as having the skill to work as part of a matrix project team. To this end you will require excellent stakeholder management, communication and interpersonal skills and be able to clearly present complex financial or business ideas in an appropriate way for their audience.
