We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our IT team based in Brackley due to our continued growth. We are a leading supplier of Poultry products into an impressive range of customers in the UK retail and food service sectors. Avara has 10 data centers distributed across 8 UK locations running 30 Microsoft Hyper-V Servers on a modern Network topology with 20 WAN connected sites. A mixture of on premise and Cloud based services support the business functions from Finance through to our Factory Operations teams, which is in use 24/7 Purpose of the role To get the best out of our investments in our Software applications and platforms, your main task will be centred on improving user productivity and business process efficiencies. As a Business Analyst, you will work alongside the other Analysts and get involved in the requirements analysis - understanding how current business processes work - before proposing/recommending improved methods of working. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in Project Implementation and some User Acceptance Testing. Your key responsibilities will include: • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions • Assisting with ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies • Staying up-to-date on the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems • Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings • Performing requirements analysis • Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts • Effectively communicating your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management • Eliciting critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports • Working closely with users, technicians, and managerial staff • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements • Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users • Performing user acceptance testing • Updating, implementing and maintaining procedures What we are looking for: • A good team player who is self-motivated, enthusiastic to learn and leads by example • Analytical and methodical approach to problem solving • High degree of accuracy applied to workload • Ability to prioritise tasks based on business objectives • Proactive approach/demonstrating initiate • Adaptable, with a positive and flexible attribute to a changing environment • Good verbal and written communication skills • Analytical and conceptual thinking skills • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook A little about us: We are a leading supplier of chicken, turkey and duck products into an impressive range of customers in the UK retail and food service sectors.
