Job Description: The job is an all-round Finance role with a requirement to prepare and analyse Finance and Board reports, to undertake front facing meetings with clients as the Finance representative, work with our Auditors during an extensive audit program, create budgets and forecast for future periods and prepare and back up customer invoices. It will require the post holder to be an experienced finance professional, who may be looking for a role working towards their first Financial Controller appointment. This is a key role within the organisation and integral to a small Finance Team. Responsibilities: ? Support to the FD in the commercial development of the business and through a significant programme of change. ? Identify where fraud may occur; implement appropriate deterrence and detection controls and maintain a culture whereby it is safe for individuals to report their suspicions. ? Ensure all systems, particularly Finance, are robust and reduce the risk of fraud, particularly fraud that may go undetected. ? Ensure all accounting activities meets business and legal reporting standards ? Ensuring that financial reporting is accurate, timely and complete and legally compliant. ? To oversee, develop and agree the Budget Plans. ? To produce planning budget forecasts, in line with the organisations agreed business strategic plans, for approval. ? Maintain, check, analyse financial and other data, producing relevant reports, schedules or other outputs using appropriate software. Manage, organise, and update relevant data using finance systems. ? Provide timely information to the Board & Leadership Team for month end reporting. ? Undertake specific finance projects as necessary. ? Ad hoc financial analysis as required ? Preparation and validation of more complex customer invoices ? Posting of supplier invoices and preparation of weekly payment run Financial Reporting: ? Prepare monthly management accounts for presentation to the Board. ? Prepare budgets and forecasts. ? Business partner budget holders to ensure achievement of budget / forecast. ? Prepare Financial Statements in line with IAS. ? Prepare corporation tax computations and VAT Returns. About you: Good financial/commercial understanding. Knowledge of IFRS. Experienced in managing audits or have been an auditor. Highly developed computer system skills, with proven database administrator expertise, in an enterprise environment, in one or more software systems. Advance skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel You are self-motivated, with the ability to work under pressure in a demanding but supportive environment, You are a team player who most importantly can build credible positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders throughout the business and with our governmental colleagues NB: If this company and position appeals to you then please apply your CV on-line.
