Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Risk & Compliance paralegal to join a US law firm in the City. The successful Risk & Compliance paralegal will play a key role in putting together the framework for a new EU directive in relation to cross-border transactions. The Risk & Compliance Paralegal will be responsible for assess a range of tech solutions for reporting in line with the upcoming directive, as well as drafting policies and guidance in relation to the directive and acting as a point of contact within the firm in relation to queries around the project. You will also analyse historic cross-border transactions and determine whether they should be reported in line with the new directive. The ideal Risk & Compliance Paralegal will be someone who enjoys project work and is detail oriented. An interest in finance and tax law would be really beneficial as you will be investigating figures, often in granular detail. Experience within another large law firm would also be beneficial, prior risk and compliance experience would be advantageous but is not a pre-requisite. This is a high profile role which offers an excellent springboard for a career in legal risk and compliance.
