Overview
What you'll be doing: Responsible for the preparation and development of management and financial accounts and to provide high quality support and advice services to budget holders, managers, and other staff Manage the development of financial controls and systems within the Divisional Finance department Coordinate the month end process and all general accounting activity for the BU Supervise the creation of monthly and annual reports to identify results and trends Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported Provide guidance on any technical or MTP requirements Review and approve cost centre MTP Review and consolidate Cost Centre MTP Develop transactional revenue forecast Ensure proper compliance with all regulations and support the audit process Develop budgets, forecasts and financial plans for the Division based on research and data reports Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies Report to the Divisional Finance Controller with timely and accurate financial information Assist senior finance members in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members Supervise and manage a team of Finance Managers and Finance Analysts What we're looking for: Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with post qualification experience Proven experience in a senior Finance line role with responsibility for delivery of controllership activities Expert knowledge/demonstrated experience in design delivery and improving financial close processes, financial reporting and control Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, GAAP) and relevant accounting standards Demonstrated experience in process re-engineering, program management and technology implementation. Demonstrated ability to synthesise varied viewpoints to identify an optimal solution and develop a coherent plan or vision Proven leadership, analytical, influencing and managerial skills Action-oriented: ability to turn strategic visions into executable tactics effectively and do what is needed to deliver results.
