Overview
Our client, a well-established manufacturer, is looking for a Service Engineer for a wide variety of gas fired products which are installed in throughout the UK and Internationally. The main focus of the role is on the combustion side so we are looking for an experienced Gas Engineer who has worked on commercial and industrial gas fired equipment. Combustion/Gas/Burners/ Oxidisers/Industrial Ovens/Gas Engineer/Service Engineer/Boilers Main Functions: Conduct burner services at customer premises Commission new equipment Undertake Energy surveys Fault diagnosis and repair Report writing Undertake additional training when necessary Qualifications knowledge and Experience An experienced Combustion Engineer with industrial and commercial burner experience. A relevant industrial gas qualification would be an advantage. Experience on Comtherm, Maxon, Eclipse, Weishaupt burners preferred. Sound knowledge of EN746-2:2010. FMCG experience is an advantage. Sound knowledge of electrical / electronic controls. Customer focus experienced working within a service environment, and Field Service experience. Can demonstrate practical hands on knowledge of carrying out basic services on industrial plant. Skills and Attributes Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to work independently. Excellent communication skills and an ability to build rapport with partners and clients Fault finding and diagnostics skills. Able to demonstrate practical hands on knowledge of carrying out basic services on industrial plant. Full clean UK Driving License. Presenting and maintaining a professional image of the company whilst performing all duties. Ability to effectively impart and extract information to/from colleagues and customers in clear and concise terms. Candidates should be prepared to travel extensively, including Internationally for up to 1 week at a time.
