Overview
Our client, based in Tameside , is currently recruiting for a Housing Support Worker on a temporaryongoing contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable based on experience for this position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience in the sector, however this requirement can be flexible. Duties will include (but not limited to): Providing day to day support to adults with complex needs (mental health, drug and alcohol addiction) within temporary accommodation Completing and updating support plans and risk assessments Encouraging service users to live independently through the provision of advice e.g. benefits and money management Signposting service users to internal and external services to help improve their quality of life Helping service users to access permanent move-on accommodation Experience required: Minimum two years’ experience within the sector Experience working with client groups including mental health, homelessness or drug and alcohol misuse Experience providing housing related support to service users, including budget/bills management Working hours : 40 hours per week Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
