Accounts Assistant/Administrator £18,000 - £20,000 South West London Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant with 1-2 years' experience? Are you seeking a new challenge within a small team? Our client is a School looking for a new member of staff to join their team. What will you be doing? Receiving, recording, counting and depositing catering and other cash and cheques received on a weekly basis Ensuring that all receipts are entered onto the system on a daily basis Process all purchase orders and invoices ensuring that the school complies with the authorisation levels as prescribed with the school's internal financial procedures Ensuring that all Purchase Orders are processed only if within the budgets and after relevant authorisations have been acquired Deal with queries relating to payments and deliveries Coding and input of invoices onto the finance system Getting invoices signed off by the budget holders in preparation for the payment run Filing of all finance and staffing paperwork Assisting with preparation of paperwork for the BACS run Scanning an filing of payment run Typing, filing, scanning, photocopying, emailing, report checking etc. Dealing with parental queries Assisting with premises, HR work of IT or administrative nature Any other job deemed necessary for the smooth running of the Finance Department This is a hands-on role where you will be dealing with a variety of tasks and will suit someone who is a strong team player with a "can do" attitude. You should have A minimum of 1-2 years' experience within a similar role as accounts administrator or finance administrator. Knowledge and/or experiences with Sage 50 or similar. Strong Excel skills and an Analytical approach with exceptional attention to detail. Strong computer skills. Good communication skills.
