Overview
Your new company Hays Property & Surveying are working with a leading Building Surveying Consultancy that specialise in Party Wall and Rights of Light matters. They are looking to speak to both Party Wall specialists and Rights of Light specialists in their London office. This position would be on a temp to perm basis (3 months contracting with the contract going perm). Your new role This opportunity would be great for any contractor thinking of making the move to permanent as you can have a 3 month period to see if the company is the right fit for you before taking the leap into a permanent position. What you'll need to succeed Good understanding of a good range of building types and their construction Demonstrable problem solving skills including correct diagnosis of building defects, specifying appropriate repairs identifying quality of workmanship issues Excellent report writing and communication skills with clients, contractors and occupiers. Preparation of detailed specifications, schedules of work and drawings Drafting and Contract Administration of Minor and Intermediate forms of JCT Contracts. Preparation of schedule of dilapidations and negotiating on behalf of landlord or tenant What you'll get in return A competitive day rate and salary working for a top player within Building Surveying.
