Job Purpose: Reporting to the Head of Governance, the newly appointed Third Party Manager will work closely with Business Owners across Winterflood that are responsible for establishing and maintaining a variety of Third-party supplier and outsourcing relationships. The primary function of the role will be to support the Owners in achieving optimised commercial value and reducing the risks associated with such relationships throughout their lifecycle. This will typically require input during the proposal stages, supplier on-boarding, relationship monitoring and key reviews; through to the renewal or exit arrangements at the end of contractual arrangements In this newly created role, the incumbent will act as Winterflood's lead representative across the Third-Party Management team (TPM), and ensure that the business owners are fully supported in managing Winterflood's third party suppliers and implementing the requirements of the Close Brothers Group Third Party Management Framework Direct Reports: * None Key Responsibilities: Lifecycle Management * Work with the Chief Operating Officer, Head of Governance, Head of IT and their nominated delegates to continue embedding the Third-Party Management framework across all relevant areas of the business. * Partner with appropriate stakeholders to ensure that supplier and outsourcing relationships are managed in line with Winterflood's standards and procedures; establishing new processes where necessary to ensure consistent supplier management across the business. * Coordinate the on-boarding, supplier management, change management, renewal, exit and transitional arrangements across Winterflood's supplier relationships, ensuring they are executed in line with standards and procedures. * Identify and monitor risks associated with Winterflood's suppliers, escalating to the Chief Operating Officer as required. * Identify and prioritise key supplier relationships and services which pose significant threat to the continuity of the business activities should they experience significant disruption or failure. * Ownership and responsibility for Winterflood's Third Party Procedural documents and associated literature. * Maintain centralised records of supplier contracts and other relevant documentation. * Compile and analyse monthly management reports to show the cost, movements, trends and risks across Winterflood's third party supplier base. * Develop effective relationships with other areas of Winterflood and, where necessary, the Close Brothers Group to ensure alignment and endorsement of supplier management activities (e.g. Legal, Risk, Compliance, Data Governance). * Work closely with relevant colleagues across the Winterflood business, where ongoing supplier monitoring and assurance activities are required. * Ensure effective liaison between TPM, Legal and Compliance regarding any SYSC 8 or other regulatory notifications as they arise. * Ensure continuous improvement and cost saving initiatives are delivered in conjunction with appropriate business owners across the third-party lifecycle, Risk & Compliance * Ensure that all Governance, Compliance and Legal requirements are adhered to and all reporting and reviewing activities required by Winterflood's Compliance function, Internal or external auditors or Winterflood's Regulators are carried out to the required standards Skills and Experience Essential * Experience of supplier relationship management * Excellent stakeholder management skills with experience of partnering with senior business stakeholders * Excellent coordination and organisational skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Understanding of risk management in the context of third parties and an ability to identify potential emerging risks * Understanding of SYSC 8 and other key regulatory obligations related to third party management * Strong analytical skills * Ability to produce cohesive Management Information on a consistent basis Desirable * Technical experience of risk identification and risk management * Demonstrable experience of driving the TPM agenda in an organisation * Ability to meet the demands of the business whilst working within a risk framework Education and Qualification Essential * Educated to A level standard or equivalent Desirable * Educated to degree level or equivalent * MCIPS Accreditation
