Job Purpose: The role is supporting UK Chief Risk Officer (CRO) in the Risk Management. Job Background/context: The role reports into the head of CGML portfolio counterparty risk management part of the UK CRO office. The UK CRO is the Chief Risk Officer for Citigroup Global Markets Limited (CGML) and CBNA London Branch. The role will contribute to the day-to-day risk management of portfolio counterparty risk management for CGML. covering derivatives and secured financing transactions, developing analytical tools to assess the risk exposure to counterparties at portfolio level and liaising with several businesses with particular focus on the Equities and Fixed Income financing businesses and supporting robust risk governance for CGML. Key Responsibilities: + Able to analyse the counterparty risk portfolio of CGML with particular focus on collateral stress testing, collateral volatility and liquidity; + Respond to ad-hoc transaction requests in a timely manner, demonstrating a good understanding of trade-specific risks and risk measurements; + Prepare counterparty credit Risk reports for CGML for internal stakeholders ensuring high quality and timely information is provided to enable proactive risk management; + Participate in risk reporting and system projects; + Support the UK CRO with the measurement and interpretation of exposure calculations (PD, LGD, EAD, RWA etc.); + From a portfolio management perspective, ability to set-up and follow-up on actions that reduce process issues and integrity of the risk management data. Development Value: This role will provide unique visibility, cross-functional and cross-Risk experience and knowledge. The position involves a significant amount of interaction with senior management and direct involvement in a variety of the critical strategic projects within Citi in the UK. The role will provide a strong understanding of the UK regulatory environment, the EMEA businesses and Risk governance. It will prominently be involved in delivering and fronting risk to local management and market risk across market, credit, operational, liquidity and franchise risk processes. Opportunities also exist to broaden the breadth of cross firm experience across the products and functions in a general senior management leadership role. Knowledge/Experience: + Solid Risk management background with working knowledge of one of: market and counterparty credit risk; + Experience of legal entity risk management; + An understanding of Citi's business model and/or that of other financial institutions; + Working knowledge of global markets products and services; + Relevant experience and knowledge in UK and EU regulations. Skills: + Highly numerate, with strong quantitative and spreadsheet skills, with the ability to analyse, interpret and present data in a readily digestible format using the latest charting/diagrammatic presentation techniques. + Excellent written and oral communications skills, and the ability to synthesize complex concepts, translate into 'user friendly' language and effectively present in text or slide format. Qualifications: Likely to be educated to degree level in a quantitative/finance discipline. Competencies: + Able to perform (trend) analysis on credit risk portfolios; + Knowledge of credit risk models (PFE, RWA, LGD); + Working knowledge of CRD IV CCR regulation + Familiar with Financial Markets Traded Products; + Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail; + Good command of English language, both oral and written; + Pro-active approach and be able to plan, organize and work independently. + Team player, able to contribute in a multi-cultural team; + Strong IT skills, advanced MS Excel at a minimumExceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
