Senior Property Surveyor Newcastle Upon Tyne £35-40k Car Allowance Benefits Your new company: We are seeking a Senior Property Surveyor to join a well-established and busy team in Newcastle on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take a proactive approach to the management of our client's core operational and commercial estate in order to maximise returns, stimulate economic activity and assist in achieving the organisation's regeneration objectives. This job will also provide you with an opportunity to assist in growing a leading consultancy across the North of England region linking with other parts of our Property businesses operating nationally. Your new role: As a Senior Property Surveyor you will be responsible for the following key responsibilities: Building relationship and securing commissions with existing and new clients. Assisting in the production and delivery of bids/tenders for non-core work. Leading multi-disciplinary project teams and providing strategic property advice on high level Regeneration projects. Delivery of statutory Asset Valuations for Accounting purposes. Provide a professional property service in relation to the management, acquisition and disposal of property and property related interests to the core client and additional external clients Maximising the performance of the Client's core operational and Non-operational portfolios Undertaking negotiations with public and private sector owners and developers. Providing Landlord and Tenant advice on a range of property types. Undertaking land and property valuations and disposals for a wide range of purposes. Ensuring the delivery of Key Performance Indicators Writing and presenting reports, and attending key client meetings What you'll need to succeed: Professional qualifications - i.e. Fellow or Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). Significant experience of operating in a public sector property service or related environment. Experience of high level negotiations with private sector developers and public sector agencies and completion of contractual arrangements. Budget Management Experience A detailed knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Issues. Experience of multi disciplinary partnership working on high value schemes. Relevant experience of undertaking wide ranging valuations & disposals An understanding of regeneration issues. Awareness of viability assessments and their impact on development. Experience of presenting written and verbal reports. Experience of property marketing. Good networking and client management skills. Ability to work closely with a wide range of internal and external partners. Good prioritisation and time management skills.
