Overview
An estimator job in Lancashire paying £45k excellent package for a fit out contractor. Your new company You will join an established contractor who specialise in fast track refurbishment and fit out schemes across the UK. They work across a variety of sectors including commercial, retail & leisure. They have a strong order book for 2020 therefore they are making the appointment of an estimator to work alongside their commercial team. They are a cash rich business who organically grow year on year and they are looking at moving into other sectors across the construction industry to broaden their service delivery. Your new role As an estimator for this business you will be responsible for preparing costs, tenders and bid proposals. You will focus your time on refurbishment / fit out schemes however as the business continues to grow they will be looking at smaller new build projects. They don't have any estimating software currently in place, they price all work using excel however this may be something you can add to their business as they continue to develop further systems. You will be office based and report to the commercial manager. They are looking to appoint an experienced estimator OR a QS / PM who has experience within the fit-out sector and looking to take on a new role within the industry. What you'll need to succeed You will currently be working within a construction environment, preferably as an estimator, however other roles including QS, PM etc would be considered if you are interested in estimating as a new career path. The business has an extremely low staff turnover therefore they are looking to appoint someone who is looking for a career move and long-term opportunity. A fit out / refurbishment background would be desirable however person fit is very important for this company. What you'll get in return You will be offered a highly competitive salary dependant on experience ranging from £40,000 - £55,000 car allowance excellent benefits.
