Our role is to find the most efficient way of getting goods from the start of their journey through to their exit and shipping off to consumers meeting their expectations and demands in a fast moving world. This role is an exciting opportunity for you to join the team at Dematic helping to define and shape the future of materials handling solutions covering the UK region. We are experiencing double digit growth and we are now looking to add to this team with a Controls Estimator looking to join a business with passion and energy to help our realise our business potential. The purpose of this role is to concept and estimate the controls systems for Dematic material handling systems offered to customers within an agreed timescale and produce customer offer documents to a high standard. To apply for this position you should be able to produce clear written quotations to a standard format for submission within the overall tender documentation by: + Working with internal teams to develop appropriate and cost effective control system solutions + Establishing specific customer requirements and assess their cost implications. + Assisting with project risk assessments to establish control system implications. + Working with Dematic Product Centres and Sub-system suppliers to develop and co-ordinate the overall control concept and keep abreast of current standard design enhancements. + Maintaining and use wherever possible, standard cost calculation methods for budget and fixed price quotations. + Maintaining standard technical information documents and hierarchy diagrams To apply for this role: You should be education to degree/HND or equivalent level with proven project experience in electrical design, concepting and estimating of industrial control systems. You will demonstrate knowledge of specific legislation and systems knowledge relevant to this role We are seeking an innovative team player with excellent communication skills. able to take ownership, find solutions and work to tight deadlines to achieve results. You will be able to give examples of projects you have worked on to support your application.
