Overview
We have been given an exciting new role, initially for 3 months, for a qualified Physicist or Mechanical engineer to work on a project within an engineering laboratory near Royston. We can consider candidates with any of the following experience:- Metallurgy or Material science knowledge Experience with SEM / XPS analysis High temperature metal work Duties will include: Running experiments, analysing test results and suggesting changes / improvements Keeping the lab organised, ordering consumable stock Working autonomously - you need to be able to work independently though there will always be other people present when the test rig is running. This is a new project and to maintain client confidentiality you must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement. Normal working hours are 37.5 / 5 day week but there could be flexibility to work a shorter 30 hour / 4 day week if this is preferred. This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89911267
