Requirements

A candidate with a strong foundation in Applied Mathematics, Science, or Engineering, complemented by practical scientific computing skills (Python/MATLAB/Julia) is ideal. Experience in shell scripting and markdown will be beneficial. You'll have mastered ODEs, Feedback Systems, Statistics, Classical Mechanics, Thermodynamics, and Heat Transfer principles. We value team players who are agile enthusiasts, ready to lead small software development teams, conduct standups, and manage sprints. Your ability to prioritize tasks, maintain effective communication channels, and promote positive agile practices will be crucial. A commitment to high-quality software development and a keen interest in scientific research are must-haves.

Responsibilities

As our Research Assistant, you will spearhead our software development efforts, leading agile teams through daily standups, planning, and retrospective meetings. You'll prioritize tasks, maintain backlogs, and continuously deliver software value increments. Your role will involve both development and research activities—coding in multiple languages, conducting quality assurance, reviewing scientific literature, and contributing to creating research articles. Presenting findings, synthesizing notes, and actively participating in brainstorming sessions will also be essential for your job.
