Overview
EL/PL Claims Handler Colchester Up to £31,000 We are currently recruiting for our an EL/PL Claims Handler on behalf of our client, one of the UK's leading insurance organisations. The successful candidate will need to be an experienced Liability / Casualty Claims Handler, and will deal with a caseload comprised of EL/PL and Products claims, Injury and Non-Injury (75% Injury, 25% TPPD). Responsiblities Investigating allocated claims to establish how and why events occurred, and the potential legal liabilities. Obtaining all necessary evidence and documentation, including detailed statements from witnesses. Determining appropriate action for resolution of the case. Liaising with clients, policyholders, brokers and solicitors. Negotiating settlements as necessary within agreed authority limits. Handling all cases in accordance with the client’s requirements. Requirements At least 2 years’ experience of handling EL/PL Claims, including Third Party Property Damage and Personal Injury. Experience of handling CAR claims is preferred but not essential. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
