Overview
An urgent temporary accountant is required for a subsidiary of an overseas business for an initial period of 3 months, although this could potentially extended. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the accountant will be focussed on the day to day input and maintenance of the management accounting system and other duties in relation to ensuring the integrity of the accounting system and the efficient day to day running of the business. Duties include; Day to day oversight of the management accounting system to ensure it is up to date, accurate and reflects the financial results of the business Produce monthly accounts to strict deadlines, consolidation of group accounts and reporting on COGNOS to HQ Ensure all ledgers (for 3 group companies) are kept up to date and all balance sheet and reconciliation's are complete Produce weekly cashflow forecasts Analysing foreign currency exposure and recommending action Process VAT returns, Intrastat returns and EC Sales list Prepare year end management accounts Liaise with auditors as required Interested candidates will be Qualified (or part qualified with experience) CIMA, ACCA, ACA. You will have experience of stock accounting and also multi-currency. Candidates should have a high level of SAP knowledge and finally, you will be available to start the assignment in the next 2-3 weeks.
