A leading Pharmaceuticals start-up in Cambridge are looking for a progressive and ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their equally driven team in a newly created position. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for the smooth running of the month end processes, alongside supporting the Financial Director with the creation of robust financial controls and procedures. Description The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for: Responsibility for the smooth processing of month end; accruals, prepayments and trial balance Ownership of the transactional finance, looking after both the purchase and sales ledger Production of detailed monthly journals and supporting the delivery of monthly reports Supporting the business with detailed analysis and robust reporting Working closely with the Finance Director to implement financial controls and procedures Ownership of the fixed asset register Supporting system implementation and improvements Profile The successful candidate for the Assistant Accountant will be: AAT qualified and ideally actively pursuing their ACCA or CIMA qualification Well versed in Excel; V LookUps, Pivot Tables and Sumifs Confident when working to tight deadlines Experience in the pharmaceuticals sector would be advantageous Confident in working closely with senior stakeholders Job Offer The successful candidate for the position will be joining a leading Cambridge business with the opportunity for rapid career development alongside receiving a competitive salary and benefits package.
