Overview

We are seeking a Programme Management Accountant to help prepare the budgeting, forecasting and management reporting of all programmes and grants related commitments and expenditure for one or more of our Councils. You will provide management information to support programmes management in their day to day decision making as well as inform Business Partners and provide information to specific users and external parties. You will model future commitments and produce management information for budgeting and forecasting, day to day planning and programmes management. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing month-end reports, interrogating any discrepancies and ensuring the appropriate action is taken. You will contribute to the monthly UKRI forecast and submission and other regular reports. To succeed in this role, you will have: A part qualified professional accounting qualification (e.g. AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CIPFA) or equivalent and have relevant experience working in a similar role An advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience in management accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
