Overview
Walters People is pleased to be representing a leading retailer in their search for a Financial Reporting Accountant to join the business on a contract (ltd or umbrella) for a minimum of 3 months. As the Financial Reporting Accountant within the Group Finance Function you will co-ordinate the Group Corporate Transaction Process, preparing monthly management reporting and budgets/forecasts for the group head office entity. You will review the group reporting of inventory, including the coordination of regional inventory schedules and calculation of consolidation journals for unreleased profits. The role: Maintenance of general ledger in SAP and monthly submissions into the group consolidation system Statutory accounts preparation for the group function Periodic submission for budget and forecast for the head office entity Participate in the preparation of the year end/half year Group Financial Statements - preparation of certain notes to the FS and review of certain regional entity submissions Drive the co-ordination of the Group Corporate Transaction Process i.e. capital injections, dividends, intercompany funding and group reorganisations Co-ordinate and review the monthly inventory schedule submissions from regional teams and review the exercise of calculation of unrealised profits for purpose of consolidation. In order to be successful for this role you will be an ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant with strong technical capabilities, a good knowledge of IFRS and past experience of multicurrency consolidation.
