Overview

Enigma People Solutions is looking for a Module Electronic Engineer to join our multinational electronics client’s Imaging Division based in Edinburgh. The position of Module Electronic Engineer requires a motivated individual with strong communication and team-working skills. The Module Electronic Engineer role within the Module R&D team involves the design and integration of Time of Flight (TOF) and other optical systems at module and application level. The electrical design forms an integral part of the optical component integration and thermal management of the module. This product development role will focus on the interpretation and assessment of the electrical requirements of IC silicon die used in our packages to deliver the specified performance. The successful candidate will have a responsibility to specify the signal-to-pad allocation, pad size and pad distribution for the package electrical footprint, generate a netlist and schematic diagram that accurately represents the electrical interconnect and maintain this throughout the design phase. They are responsible for final product electrical review and approval. They will develop a good understand of the application level function and be responsible for ensuring the electrical performance of the design, throughout build, test, characterisation and at the final customer. The skills and experience that are fundamental to the role are: 3-5 years of experience in the industry Knowledge of the Product Development flow based on an FMEA led design methodology Understanding of mass-production design concepts, applying design rules to ensure good Cp, Cpk performance in production. Understanding of Electrical Circuit Design, at either substrate or PCB design level Understanding of the construction and manufacturing flow for PCB and organic or ceramic substrates Capability for electronic measurement and characterization at module and application level Knowledge of Semiconductor and microelectronics packaging Basic understanding of design for optimizing thermal management Throughout our decade long relationship with this client, we have placed numerous candidates; many of whom are still happily there, working on cutting edge technologies for one of Europe’s most innovative tech giants.
